The Technological Laboratory of LMU Munich supplies various types of solid-state target for laser plasma experiments at the Centre for Advanced Laser Applications in Garching. Our main focus here is on the production of free-standing,

Evolution of confined quantum scalar fields in curved spacetime. Part II
We develop a method for computing the Bogoliubov transformation experienced by a confined quantum scalar field in a globally hyperbolic spacetime, due to the changes in the geometry and/or the confining boundaries.

The study reports widely tunable room‐temperature exciton polaritons in quasi‐2D perovskite microcavities operating at the transition between strong and very strong coupling regimes. These experimental and theoretical insights explain the peculiar scaling behavior of the light–matter coupling in our tunable system, paving the way for future tunable ...

Instantaneous Normal Modes of Yukawa Liquids
ABSTRACT The instantaneous normal mode (INM) approach, which extends the normal mode description of collective excitations in solids to liquids, is applied to strongly coupled, three‐dimensional Yukawa liquids. Based on data from Langevin dynamics simulations, we compute the instantaneous normal modes across a wide range of coupling and screening ...

Fluctuations and differential contraction during regeneration of Hydra vulgaris tissue toroids
We studied regenerating bilayered tissue toroids dissected from Hydra vulgaris polyps and relate our macroscopic observations to the dynamics of force-generating mesoscopic cytoskeletal structures.

Non-hydrodynamic modes from linear response in kinetic theory [PDF]
Viscous hydrodynamics serves as a successful mesoscopic description of the QGP produced in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. In order to investigate, how such an effective description emerges from the underlying microscopic dynamics we calculate the ...

Pure Deep Red Electroluminescence in Mixed Phase Quasi‐2D Tin Iodide Perovskite Heterostructure
Mixed‐cation quasi‐2D tin iodide perovskites show promise for deep red to NIR LEDs. Despite forming mixed n = 1, 2, and ∞ phases, pure deep red electroluminescence (≈700 nm) from the n = 2 phase is achieved by tuning cation ratios. Selective charge transport and cascade energy transfer enable phase‐selective emission. Abstract Mixed cation quasi‐2D tin
