The Saker Falcon (Falco cherrug) is a species of cultural importance for Arabian falconry that is highly valued and desired by many falconers in the Gulf States. Modern Arabian falconry has created a significant demand for falcons that is met primarily by international trade, both legal and illegal, of captive-bred and wild-sourced birds.
