Quantitative proteomic analysis of the fall armyworm saliva
Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, 2017Lepidopteran larvae secrete saliva on plant tissues during feeding. Components in the saliva may aid in food digestion, whereas other components are recognized by plants as cues to elicit defense responses. Despite the ecological and economical importance of these plant-feeding insects, knowledge of their saliva composition is limited to a few species.

Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1989
Abstract Sweet corn was planted 14 Aug at the University of Arkansas Experiment Station, Fayetteville. Plots were two 30-ft rows (40-inch spacing) with 4-ft alleys separating plots on the same row. One row separated plots. Experimental design was a randomized complete block with 9 treatments and 4 replications.

Sampling Program for Fall Armyworm in Maize
Journal of Economic Entomology, 1989A sampling program for fall armyworm (FAW), Spodoptera frugiperda (Smith), in Honduran maize, Zea mays (L.), is described. Presence-absence sampling was used to monitor FAW infestations and insecticide treatment decisions were made against predetermined action thresholds.

Fall Armyworm Control on Peanuts, 1984
Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1985Abstract Seven insecticides were evaluated for fall armyworm (FAW) control on peanuts near Palmyra in northern NC. Seed were planted in early May into Norfolk fine sandy loam soil on 36-inch rows. Plots were 4 rows by 40 ft arranged in a randomized complete block design with 3 replications.
