Additional sectioning and AI‐assisted diagnosis reveal underdiagnosis of serous (pre)malignancies in fallopian tube specimen from BRCA1/2 carriers

This paper shows that deeper sections reveal additional STICs and HGSCs in risk‐reducing salpingo‐oophorectomy specimens of patients who did not have a STIC or HGSC diagnosis but did develop peritoneal HGSC 10 years after surgery. This adds to the premise that HGSC originates in the fallopian tube.

Alterations to longitudinal muscle morphology and mechanical function following immobilization and recovery in female ovariectomized and intact rats

Abstract Serial sarcomere number (SSN) is reduced following immobilization of a muscle in a shortened position in male rodents thereby impairing muscle contractile function.
