Phase II Trial of Nivolumab in Advanced Solid Tumors Based on Genomic Profiling: BELIEVE Trial (NCCH1901) Subcohort

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Off‐label nivolumab treatment guided by CGP results was evaluated in 56 patients with advanced solid tumors. TMB‐High was the predominant biomarker leading to nivolumab treatment. Nivolumab showed limited clinical benefit in 50 patients with measurable disease, with an ORR of 16.0%, DCR of 40.0%, median PFS of 2.7 months, and median OS of 7.2 months ...

Additional sectioning and AI‐assisted diagnosis reveal underdiagnosis of serous (pre)malignancies in fallopian tube specimen from BRCA1/2 carriers

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
This paper shows that deeper sections reveal additional STICs and HGSCs in risk‐reducing salpingo‐oophorectomy specimens of patients who did not have a STIC or HGSC diagnosis but did develop peritoneal HGSC 10 years after surgery. This adds to the premise that HGSC originates in the fallopian tube.

Advancing collagen‐related pathology assessment through second‐harmonic generation imaging

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Collagen remodelling and dysregulation are the hallmarks of diverse pathological conditions. In this context, second‐harmonic generation (SHG) imaging has emerged as a powerful label‐free modality for assessing collagen. This offers submicron resolution, intrinsic optical sectioning, and deeper imaging capabilities without the need for ...
