Observation results by the TAMA300 detector on gravitational wave bursts from stellar-core collapses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We present data-analysis schemes and results of observations with the TAMA300 gravitational-wave detector, targeting burst signals from stellar-core collapse events.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

System recovery of MIMO nonlinear systems against false data injection attack [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ Computer Science
This article investigates the system recovery problem for a class of multi-input multi-output (MIMO) nonlinear systems under false data injection attack. Under the conditions that the attack is norm-bounded and the system has a vector relative degree and

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

OLTC-Induced False Data Injection Attack on Volt/VAR Optimization in Distribution Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper presents a new class of false data injection attacks (FDIAs) on volt/VAR optimization (VVO), which may result in abnormal voltage conditions along the radial medium voltage (MV) distribution feeder with an on-load tap changer (OLTC), capacitor

A novel secure diffusion Kalman filter algorithm against false data injection attacks

open access: yesIET Communications, 2021
This paper proposes a novel secure diffusion Kalman filter (dKF) algorithm to improve the estimation performance crippled by false data injection attacks on sensors in wireless sensor networks (WSNs).

Adaptive Sliding-Mode Path-Following Control of Cart-Pendulum Robots with False Data Injection Attacks

open access: yesActuators, 2023
This paper addresses the displacement path-following problem for a class of disturbed cart-pendulum systems under the fake data injection (FDI) actuator attacks.

Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Data-driven control against false data injection attacks

open access: yesAutomatica
The rise of cyber-security concerns has brought significant attention to the analysis and design of cyber-physical systems (CPSs). Among the various types of cyberattacks, denial-of-service (DoS) attacks and false data injection (FDI) attacks can be easily launched and have become prominent threats.
