Study on reducing false targets for automotive radar

New waveform for millimeter-wave automotive anti-collision radar is proposed. It greatly improves the response characteristic of radar system and partly reduces the false alarm of the radar. The effective algorithm is introduced to further eliminate false targets in multiple targets circumstances. Simulation results show that the method is effective.

This paper presents an identification method of deception false targets in bistatic radar system. On the basis of the data correlation algorithm in bistatic radar system, the identifying rules of the real and the false targets are provided. The experimental simulations show that the method is effective to identify the false targets in EW.

False Target Recognition Method Based on RCS Fluctuation Characteristics

In this paper a false target recognition method based on RCS fluctuation characteristics is proposed for one radar. The RCS fluctuation information of the false target is used for the false target discrimination. The RCS of true target usually fluctuates, however the RCS of false target with track characteristic is constant.
