Family Characteristics of Obsessive Children
American Journal of Psychiatry, 1972A sociopsychiatric study of 30 obsessive children and their parents found them not to be at all deviant from the norms of middle-class, white Anglo-Saxon Protestant North America. Both demographically and attitudinally, they conformed to these norms and ideals. The parents seemed to have as "virtues" traits that were similar to the children's symptoms.
