Functional Redundancy in the Myotubularin Family
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2002Myotubularin-related genes define a novel highly conserved family of eukaryotic proteins of at least 11 human members. The hMTM1 gene that codes for myotubularin is mutated in X-linked myotubular myopathy, a severe congenital disease. Recently, we and others have characterized myotubularin as a potent and specific phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate 3 ...

A Reflecting Function of a Family of Functions
Differential Equations, 2000The author, pursuing his previous work [Reflecting function and periodic solutions to differential equations. (Russian). Minsk: Izdatel'stvo ``Universitetskoe'' (1986; Zbl 0607.34038)], develops a method that permits to study solutions to differential equations related by a transformation involving a time reflection \(t \to - t\).

Microtransitions and the Dynamics of Family Functioning
Integrative Psychological and Behavioral Science, 2013This paper presents a qualitative observational study aimed at exploring microtransitions in the relational dynamics of family functioning when the children are adolescents. Three concurrent levels were considered central for family functioning in this period: the acknowledgment of emerging competences, the redefinition of the power structure, and the ...

Economic Functions of the Family
Problems in Economics, 1989PIP: The author makes a case for the inclusion of the study of the family in economic research. Special consideration is given to socioeconomic factors affecting family characteristics and the economic functions of the family, including the types of individuals certain families produce and their effect on the economy.

The GGM Function Family Is a Weakly One-Way Family of Functions
2016We give the first demonstration of the cryptographic hardness of the Goldreich-Goldwasser-Micali GGM function family when the secret key is exposed. We prove that for any constant $$\epsilon >0$$ , the GGM family is a $$1/n^{2+\epsilon }$$ -weakly one-way family of functions, when the lengths of secret key, inputs, and outputs are equal.

FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS FOR PARAMETRIC FAMILIES OF FUNCTIONAL DATA
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2012Assuming a Parametric Family of Functional Data, the problem of computing summary statistics of the same functional form is investigated. The central idea is to compile the statistics on the parameters instead of on the functions themselves. With the hypothesis of a monotonic dependence from parameters, we highlight the special features of this ...

The Role of Family Functioning in Bipolar Disorder in Families
Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology, 2008Investigated the association between family functioning and conflict and their links with mood disorder in parents and with children's risk for bipolar disorder. Participants were 272 families with a child between the ages of 5-17 years. Parents' history of psychiatric diagnoses and children's current diagnoses were obtained via semi-structured ...

Abstract Michel Foucault’s notion of the author function provides a way of describing the practice of attributing works and groups of works to a sole author figure rather than to the co-authors, amanuenses, editors, commentary writers, translators, publishers, and print workers who may in reality have contributed to it.
