ABSTRACT Macrodystrophia lipomatosa (MDL) is a rare sporadic, nonhereditary developmental condition, typically presenting at birth or in early childhood. It is characterized by progressive overgrowth of tissues, mainly due to excess fibrofatty tissue proliferation.
