Psychosocial problems are often seen as both short- and long-term consequences of such abuse. Family dysfunction may be seen as both a risk factor for abuse and a result of the disclosure of abuse.

European Journal of Cancer Prevention, 1993Familial mesotheliomas are reported in four pairs of patients. The group includes six men and two women, aged between 44 and 84 years.
