Lactate Drives Pathological Browning of White Adipose Tissue to Aggravate Sepsis‐Associated Metabolic Disorders in a GPR81‐Dependent Manner

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sepsis‐triggered lactate accumulation induces pathological white adipose tissue browning. Lactate activates adipocyte GPR81 to sequentially upregulate CTRP6‐p38 signalling and UCP1 expression. This cascade exacerbates sepsis‐associated metabolic disorders.

Intelligent Polymer Electrolytes for Next‐Generation Zinc‐Based Energy Storage Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Intelligent polymer electrolytes are organized into a three‐level hierarchy that advances zinc‐based energy storage from passive ion conduction toward active, adaptive, and intelligent operation. Molecular regulation of Zn+ coordination, water activity, desolvation, ion flux, and interfaces underpins adaptive self‐healing, anti‐freezing, adhesion, and ...

On the Role of Preprocessing and Memristor Dynamics in Reservoir Computing for Image Classification

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Reservoir computing (RC) is an emerging recurrent neural network architecture that has attracted growing attention for its low training cost and modest hardware requirements. Memristor‐based circuits are particularly promising for RC, as their intrinsic dynamics can reduce network size and parameter overhead in tasks such as time‐series ...
