Noise from Centrifugal Fans [PDF]
The sound power radiated from the discharge of centrifugal fans of diameters between 3 and 612 inches has been measured as a function of fan dimensions and operating conditions. The measurements were made by arranging the fan under test to discharge into an 11 foot nonreflecting tube in which the static pressure could be controlled.

ABSTRACT Advancing artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed learning and work, yet higher education and professional development programs have not systematically equipped learners for AI‐prevalent environments. This lack of preparation creates uncertainty regarding control, responsibility, trust, and accountability.

White Matter and Perivascular Imaging Changes in Alzheimer's Disease and Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy
ABSTRACT Objective Peak‐width of skeletonized mean diffusivity (PSMD) and diffusion tensor imaging–analysis along the perivascular space (DTI‐ALPS), reflecting white matter integrity and glymphatic function, are altered in Alzheimer's disease (AD).

Data‐Driven SuStaIn Model of Disability Progression in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Objective To determine whether ordinal Subtype and Stage Inference (SuStaIn) applied to routine ALSFRS‐R item scores can identify reproducible disability progression patterns in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and provide clinically meaningful staging.

The fan is one of the main aerodynamic noise sources in a high-bypass-ratio turbofan engine. It is easy to reduce the rotating speed of a geared fan by increasing the reduction ratio of the gear without changing the original structure of the turbofan ...

Attenuation of Cross-Flow Fan Noise Using Porous Stabilizers
This paper presents a qualitative analysis of controlling the cross-flow fan noise by using porous stabilizers. The stabilizer was originally a folded plate.

Boundary‐Dependent Sleep–Wake Dysregulation in Idiopathic Hypersomnia
ABSTRACT Objective Idiopathic hypersomnia (IH) presents with excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) despite apparently preserved nocturnal sleep, challenging traditional models of hypersomnolence based on sleep loss or fragmentation. We aimed to test the hypothesis that EDS in IH reflects excessive stabilization of the sleep state, consistent with ...
