Gorenstein spherical Fano varieties

open access: yesGeometriae Dedicata, 2015
We obtain a combinatorial description of Gorenstein spherical Fano varieties in terms of certain polytopes, generalizing the combinatorial description of Gorenstein toric Fano varieties by reflexive polytopes and its extension to Gorenstein horospherical

On properness of K-moduli spaces and optimal degenerations of Fano varieties

open access: yesSelecta Mathematica, New Series, 2021
We establish an algebraic approach to prove the properness of moduli spaces of K-polystable Fano varieties and reduce the problem to a conjecture on destabilizations of K-unstable Fano varieties.

Anti-pluricanonical systems on Fano varieties

open access: yesAnnals of Mathematics, 2019
In this paper, we study the linear systems $|-mK_X|$ on Fano varieties $X$ with klt singularities. In a given dimension $d$, we prove $|-mK_X|$ is non-empty and contains an element with "good singularities" for some natural number $m$ depending only on ...

Asymptotically log Fano varieties [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematics, 2015
Motivated by the study of Fano type varieties we define a new class of log pairs that we call asymptotically log Fano varieties and strongly asymptotically log Fano varieties.

Gorensteinness and iteration of Cox rings for Fano type varieties

open access: yesMathematische Zeitschrift, 2022
We show that finitely generated Cox rings are Gorenstein. This leads to a refined characterization of varieties of Fano type: they are exactly those projective varieties with Gorenstein canonical quasicone Cox ring.
