Faraday Lithography

Nano Letters
As Moore's Law continues to push critical dimension (CD) scaling in integrated circuits, conventional photolithography approaches fundamental resolution limits. While alternative strategies such as self-aligned double patterning and directed self-assembly address these challenges, they introduce process complexity and manufacturing variability. Here we

Faraday’s Laws or Faraday’s Law?

Journal of Chemical Education, 2012
This paper demonstrates how the traditional two verbal laws of electrolysis associated with Michael Faraday may be combined into a single equation or law more in keeping with Faraday’s original intentions, and also emphasizes that the resulting equation is kinetic, rather than thermodynamic, in nature and is equally applicable to working voltaic cells.

Nonlinearity of Faraday loops

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1990
Faraday loops traced with an extinction method and magnetization hysteresis loops were compared. When a material consists of a magnetic multidomain, the detected apparent Faraday rotation is not proportional to the net magnetization. In addition to this nonlinearity, light diffraction by domains results in loop deformation.
