Faraday rotation measures in 20 AGN jets at parsec scale
We present multi wavelength parsec-scale Faraday rotation measure properties of twenty active galactic nuclei, observed with the Very Long Baseline Array simultaneously at 1.4, 1.6, 2.2, 2.4, 4.6, 5.0, 8.1, 8.4 and 15.4 GHz in the full polarization mode.

Evidence for Helical Magnetic Fields Associated with AGN Jets and the Action of a Cosmic Battery
Theoretical models for the electromagnetic launching of astrophysical jets have long indicated that this process should generate helical magnetic fields, which should then propagate outward with the jet plasma.

Secondary B-mode polarization from Faraday rotation in clusters and galaxies [PDF]
We revisit the polarisation induced by Faraday rotation when Cosmic Microwave Background photons traverse magnetised plasma. We compute the secondary B-mode angular power spectrum from Faraday rotation due to magnetic fields in galaxies and galaxy ...

Faraday rotation and magneto-optical figure of merit for the magnetite magnetic fluids
In the present paper, using magnetite magnetic fluids as examples, we consider the optical and magneto-optical properties of magnetic fluids based on particles of magnetic oxides, for the optical constants of the material of which, n and k , the relation

Molecular spintronics: Coherent spin transfer in coupled quantum dots [PDF]
Time-resolved Faraday rotation has recently demonstrated coherent transfer of electron spin between quantum dots coupled by conjugated molecules. Using a transfer Hamiltonian ansatz for the coupled quantum dots, we calculate the Faraday rotation signal ...

Faraday effect in bi-periodic photonic-magnonic crystals
We present a theoretical investigation of the polarization plane rotation at light transmission - Faraday effect, through one-dimensional multilayered magneto-photonic systems consisting of periodically distributed magnetic and dielectric layers.

Canals in Milky Way radio polarization maps [PDF]
Narrow depolarized canals are common in maps of the polarized synchrotron emission of the Milky Way. Two physical effects that can produce these canals have been identified: the presence of Faraday rotation measure ($\RM$) gradients in a foreground ...

Electrically controlled terahertz magneto-optical phenomena in continuous and patterned graphene
Time reversal symmetry breaking gives rise to magnetic circular dichroism and Faraday rotation in graphene. The authors use terahertz magneto-electro-optical spectroscopy to demonstrate that electrostatic doping at a fixed magnetic field allows inversion

Turbulent Structure in Supernova Remnants G46.8−0.3 and G39.2−0.3 from THOR Polarimetry
We present the continued analysis of polarization and Faraday rotation for the supernova remnants (SNRs) G46.8−0.3 and G39.2−0.3 in L -band (1–2 GHz) radio continuum in The H i /OH/Recombination line (THOR) survey.
