RGS14 (414)-mediated prevention of an episodic memory loss: a study of molecular mechanism [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A large proportion of human populations suffer memory impairments either caused by normal aging or afflicted by diverse neurological and neurodegenerative diseases. Memory enhancers and other drugs tested so far against memory loss have failed to produce

Approximate power flow solutions‐based forecasting‐aided state estimation for power distribution networks

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 18, Issue 21, Page 3510-3523, November 2024.
This paper proposes a concise and efficient estimator for forecasting‐aided state estimation in power distribution systems, which incorporates the designed dynamic variable into the performance advantage of approximate power flow models. Abstract This paper presents an approximate power flow model‐based forecasting‐aided state estimation estimator for ...

Integrating high‐throughput phenotyping and genome‐wide association studies for enhanced drought resistance and yield prediction in wheat

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 243, Issue 5, Page 1758-1775, September 2024.
Summary Drought, especially terminal drought, severely limits wheat growth and yield. Understanding the complex mechanisms behind the drought response in wheat is essential for developing drought‐resistant varieties. This study aimed to dissect the genetic architecture and high‐yielding wheat ideotypes under terminal drought.

Unravelling the unusual: chromosome elimination, nondisjunction and extra pollen mitosis characterize the B chromosome in wild sorghum

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 243, Issue 5, Page 1840-1854, September 2024.
Summary The B chromosomes exhibit diverse behaviour compared with conventional genetic models. The capacity of the B chromosome either to accumulate or to be eliminated in a tissue‐specific manner is dependent on biological processes related to aberrant cell division(s), but here yet remains compatible with normal development.

High‐Throughput, Label‐Free Detection of DNA Origami in Single‐Cell Suspensions Using origamiFISH‐Flow

open access: yesSmall, Volume 20, Issue 35, August 28, 2024.
origamiFISH‐Flow is a new technique to detect DNA origami in single cells isolated from either culture or primary tissues. This technique, which uses flow cytometry, offers enhanced detection sensitivity while alleviating the need for structure‐specific labeling with fluorescent dyes.
