FAST: a compact general crystallographic fast Fourier transform (FFT)

Journal of Applied Crystallography, 1996
A space-group-general radix-2 crystallographic fast Fourier transform (FFT) has been written in only 130 lines of executable Fortran code. Computational times compare favorably with other FFT programs that require 1000 or more lines of code excluding peak-interpolation routines. The complete program and description of control parameters are given.

Pipelined Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) Processor Power Optimization

2019 IEEE 7th Conference on Systems, Process and Control (ICSPC), 2019
This paper presents the pipelined Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) processor power optimization. Pipelined FFT processor comprises of several sub-modules such as data buffer, shifter, and rotator (butterfly) which introduced power consumption to the circuit when in a hierarchical design.

System parameter identification in transport models using the fast Fourier transform (FFT)

Computers and Biomedical Research, 1981
Abstract The fast Fourier transform (FFT) was investigated for potential use in a new application: the system identification problem in physiological transport models. It was found to offer specific advantages when compared to another well-established transform technique, time segment transformation (TST), in which input stimuli are modeled as a time

The crystallographic fast Fourier transform. IV. FFT-asymmetric units in the reciprocal space

Acta Crystallographica Section A Foundations of Crystallography, 2004
New algorithms have been outlined for efficient calculation of the fast Fourier transform of data revealing crystallographic symmetries in previous papers by Rowicka, Kudlicki & Otwinowski [Acta Cryst. (2002), A58, 574-579; Acta Cryst. (2003), A59, 172-182; Acta Cryst. (2003), A59, 183-192].

A uniform model for parallel fast Fourier transform (FFT) and fast discrete cosine transform (FDCT)

[1991] Proceedings. Data Compression Conference, 2002
Extended summary form only given. The techniques for parallel processing of FFT are applied to design a parallel processing model for FDCT. Each transform is translated to a sequence of elementary operations, an equation with regularity. From the similarity of both equations, a uniform representation for FFT and FDCT is derived and a common parallel ...

Vibration Analysis on Rotating Machines using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)

ACMIT Proceedings, 2019
The history has record that heavy industries face major problems that causes by variant types of mechanical failures came from rotating machines. The Vibrations in rotating machine almost fond in everywhere, due to unbalances, misalignments and imperfect part, analytical approaches has shown that vibration monitoring has great capability in detecting ...

Flicker power algorithm based on Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) demodulation

2013 IEEE 3rd International Conference on System Engineering and Technology, 2013
Voltage flicker measurement methods become significantly important nowadays with increasing uses of the sensitive loads. Flicker Power algorithm has been found to be acceptable techniques for determining the flicker source direction in power system since it construction follow the IEEE flickermeter standard.

About this issue [special issue on the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)]

IEEE Transactions on Audio and Electroacoustics, 1967
This special issue is an outgrowth of standardization activities in audio and electroacoustics. In 1960, Subcommittee 30.4 on Methods of Measurement of Noise of the IRE Audio and Electroacoustics Committee (Technical Committee 30) became concerned with the characterization and measurement of quantities having a short duration.

Dynamic Voltage Scaling for Power Aware Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) Processor

2005
In recent years, power dissipation in CMOS circuits has grown exponentially due to the fast technology scaling and the increase in complexity. Supply Voltage scaling is an effective technique to reduce dynamic power dissipation due to the non-linear relationship between dynamic power and Vdd.
