A Retinomorphic Graphene Transistor Implementing Direction‐ and Velocity‐Selective Computation for In‐Sensor Image Stabilization

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A multi‐gated ion‐gel graphene transistor architecture emulates spatiotemporal dendritic filtering inspired by biological direction‐selective retinal circuits. Leveraging distributed resistance‐capacitive ionic relaxation delays under combined excitation‐inhibition pulse routines, the solid‐state device exhibits programmable direction‐selective index ...

Silver‐Modulated Copper Dynamics Under Pulsed Tandem Electrochemical CO2 Reduction

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Under pulsed CO2 reduction, Ag does more than provide CO for tandem catalysis. It redirects how Cu dissolves, redeposits, and remains catalytically relevant, generating an Ag‐rich yet Cu‐active working state. Correlative surface and solution analysis reveal that tandem performance emerges from dynamic material redistribution rather than from a static ...

Mg2+ Ions as Interfacial Charge Bridges for Enhanced Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution in Poly(Heptazine Imide)

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Mg2+ confined within poly(heptazine imide) acts as a heterogenized interfacial charge bridge capable to couple synergistically the semiconductor with Pt co‐catalysts, thus enhancing hydrogen evolution. Through water polarization and hydroxide stabilization, a dynamic Mg2+‐OHδ−‐Hδ+‐Pt motif facilitates proton transfer and overcomes interfacial electron ...

Nanopore and Self‐Assembled Monolayer Engineering of l‐Lactate Oxidase Gold Electrodes for Enhanced l‐Lactate Biosensing

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A tiered nanoporous gold biointerface enables site‐directed immobilization of His‐tagged lactate oxidase through a mixed self‐assembled monolayer, achieving high enzyme loading while preserving activity. The resulting bioelectrode provides sensitive and stable l‐lactate detection (0.12–3.0 mM, 75 µA mM−1 cm−2), demonstrating a modular strategy for high‐

Robotic Palpation for Spatiotemporal Arterial Pulse Quantification and Mapping Using Multilevel Microdome‐Based Soft Pressure Sensors

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study presents the development of multilevel pressure‐sensitive layers replicated from liquid‐metal‐based structures for optimizing soft pressure sensors in robotic palpation. This approach enhances sensitivity and range for subtle arterial displacement detection.

Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Biocarbon Injection Behavior for Electric Arc Furnace Slag Foaming

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
Biocarbon injection is investigated as a promising pathway for sustainable electric arc furnace steelmaking using a combined experimental–numerical approach. Results demonstrate that biocarbon can effectively penetrate slag and generate intense foaming within a defined operating window.
