Thermodynamic Limits to Molecular Doping in Conjugated Polymers: A Perspective on Phase Behavior and Miscibility

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular doping of conjugated polymers is fundamentally constrained by thermodynamic phase behavior. This Perspective reframes doping efficiency and stability in terms of miscibility limits, binodals, and solvus boundaries, highlighting the role of effective interaction parameters and charge transfer.

The Unexplored Dusty Nova LMCN 2009-05a in the Large Magellanic Cloud

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
We present a detailed spectrophotometric study of nova LMCN 2009-05a, located in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC). Photometric observations reveal a dust dip in the optical light curve, classifying it as a D-class nova.

Second Timescale Photometry of the Very Fast Nova V1674 Her with Palomar Gattini-IR

open access: yesResearch Notes of the AAS, 2021
Abstract We report second-timescale infrared photometry of the nova V1674 Her using Palomar Gattini-IR (PGIR). These observations constitute the first infrared and highest temporal resolution data (resolution of ≈0.84 s) of the nova reported to date.

Poly(Alkoxythiophene) Rod‐Coil Block Copolymers for Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We present the first synthesis of poly(3‐alkoxythiophene) rod‐coil block copolymers as a new architecture for OMIECs. Incorporating PEG and PLLA coils can enhance device performance beyond the homopolymer. The figure‐of‐merit depends uniquely on coil length.

Spectral Evolution and Accretion Properties of Three Classical Novae from International Ultraviolet Explorer Observations Spectra

open access: yesKDU journal of multidisciplinary studies
We present a comprehensive analysis of ultraviolet (UV) spectra from the International Ultraviolet Explorer (IUE) of three classical novae: OS And (Nova Andromedae 1986), QU Vul (Nova Vulpeculae 1984 No. 2), and V1974 Cyg(Nova Cygni 1992).

Broad absorption line symbiotic stars: highly ionized species in the fast outflow from MWC 560 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In symbiotic binaries, jets and disk winds may be integral to the physics of accretion onto white dwarfs from cool giants. The persistent outflow from symbiotic star MWC 560 (=V694 Mon) is known to manifest as low-ionization broad absorption lines (BALs),

Rms–flux relation and fast optical variability simulations of the nova-like system MV Lyr [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2015
The stochastic variability (flickering) of the nova-like system (subclass of cataclysmic variable) MV Lyr yields a complicated power density spectrum with four break frequencies. Scaringi et al. (2012) analysed high-cadence Kepler data of MV Lyr, taken almost continuously over 600 days, giving the unique opportunity to study multicomponent Power ...

Defect‐Driven Charge Separation in Ba‐Doped SrTiO3: Correlating Photoelectrochemical Performance With Dye‐Selective Photocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Ba‐doped SrTiO3 perovskites establish a direct correlation between photoelectrochemical activity and photocatalytic performance. Optimized Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 exhibits enhanced charge separation, photocurrent generation, and visible‐light‐driven dye degradation through defect‐induced oxygen vacancies and lattice distortion.
