Fast transient response CFA-based LDO regulator
2012 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2012In this paper a fast transient response low-dropout regulator (LDO) based on a current feedback amplifier (CFA) is presented. The utilized CFA consists of an open-loop voltage follower with output local current-current feedback based on a level-shifted flipped voltage follower (LSFVF) to achieve high regulation and fast transient response.

Fast transient response of novel Peltier junctions
Energy Conversion, 1977Abstract The fast transient response of a thermoelectric (TE) cooler with novel geometry is discussed. This geometry involves conical semiconductor legs whose hot to cold junction cross-sectional area ratios can be varied. The novel TE junctions are fabricated such that the thermal capacitance and electrical conductance are decreased while ...

Fast transient response capacitorless DC-DC converter
2017 Brazilian Power Electronics Conference (COBEP), 2017This paper features a hybrid (switched-mode and linear-mode) and capacitorless DC-DC converter, retaining its output characteristic of the voltage source type. The converter was designed by joining a switched-mode converter and a linear amplifier connected in parallel.

High accuracy LDO regulator with fast transient response
TENCON 2008 - 2008 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2008This paper presents a modified single Miller capacitor feed forward compensation design for regulators resulting in a linear LDO (low dropout) regulator whose performance is independent of the off-chip capacitor and its ESR (equivalent series resistor). The proposed compensation method ensures the stability of the feedback loop and the sufficient phase

Inverter-Based Fast Transient Response Capacitor-Less LDO
2019 IEEE International Conference on Electron Devices and Solid-State Circuits (EDSSC), 2019This paper proposes a fully integrated low dropout regulator (LDO) with fast transient response capability without the need of external off-chip capacitors. Based on the traditional LDO, two inverters are inserted between the gate of the PMOS and the output stage of the error amplifier.

Fast-Shared Current Transient Response in High-Precision Interleaved Inverters
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2011A robust self-interleaving mechanism for paralleled hysteresis-current-controlled inverters is proposed, featuring sustained switching under all load conditions. A fast interleaving technique that can be applied when no clamping of the output voltage occurs is combined with a self-interleaving mechanism that ensures correct switching during output ...

Transient Response Enhancement with Fast Transient Controller for Capacitor-Less LDO Regulator
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014This paper presents a capacitor-less CMOS low dropout regulator (LDO) with a push-pull class AB amplifier, and a fast transient controller to achieve a better transient response. The undershoot/overshoot voltage and the settling time are effectively reduced.

A Portable Fast-Response Transient-Voltage Counter
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1965A battery-powered solid-state 6-channel transient-voltage counter was developed which can detect transient voltages with durations as short as 20ns. This counter is sensitive to transient voltages of both polarities and has threshold levels from 50 to 300 volts, which can be altered by either internal biasing or external attenuators. It weighs about 13.

Review of Electrical - Power Transformer Responses to Fast Transients
2021 United States National Committee of URSI National Radio Science Meeting (USNC-URSI NRSM), 2021Power transformers in the power grid are vulnerable to both man made and natural threats. This paper documents a literature search on the effects of fast electrical transients on power system transformers, for the purpose of estimating the effects of a high-altitude electromagnetic (HEMP) environment on transformers.

Response of fast-reactor core subassemblies to pressure transients
Nuclear Engineering and Design, 1982Abstract An Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) finite element method for analyzing the transient, nonlinear fluid-structure interaction in fast-reactor core subassemblies is presented. The method combines the basic attributes of the finite element technique — namely, ease in modeling complex geometries and in mixing fluid elements with structural ...
