Wireless power transfer systems demand a regulating transmitter (TX) for global loop control and also a regulating receiver (RX) for its local loop. This design broadens the TX output power range, by merging a switched capacitor (SC) circuit with only 3 ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A Fast Response Robust Deadbeat Predictive Current Control for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
Deadbeat predictive current control (DBPCC) has the characteristic of fast current response, but it is sensitive to motor parameters. Observer-based DBPCC can eliminate the steady state current tracking error when parameter mismatch exists.

Dynamics and bifurcations in a simple quasispecies model of tumorigenesis [PDF]
Cancer is a complex disease and thus is complicated to model. However, simple models that describe the main processes involved in tumoral dynamics, e.g., competition and mutation, can give us clues about cancer behaviour, at least qualitatively, also ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

In a high percentage of new energy-islanded microgrids, the overall inertia of the system gradually decreases, and the transient stability requirements of the microgrid frequency and voltage become more and more demanding under low-inertia conditions. To

A current-mode buck-boost DC-DC converter with fast transient response [PDF]
A fast transient current-mode buckboost DC-DC converter for portable devices is presented. Running at 1 MHz the converter provides stable 3 V from a 2.7 V to 4.2 V Li-Ion battery. A small voltage under-/overshoot is achieved by fast transient techniques:

Pulsed flows at the high-altitude cusp poleward boundary, and associated ionospheric convection and particle signatures, during a cluster - FAST - SuperDARN - sondrestrom conjunction under a southwest [PDF]
Particle and magnetic field observations during a magnetic conjunction Cluster 1-FAST-Søndrestrøm within the field of view of SuperDARN radars on 21 January 2001 allow us to draw a detailed, comprehensive and self-consistent picture at three heights of ...
