Spektrale Effizienz und spektrale Umformung von Faster-than-Nyquist Signalen

open access: yes, 2016
Capacity calculations for Faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) signaling are presented. When using root raised cosine (RRC) pulses, the spectral efficiency decreases monotonically with the roll-off factor.

On faster than Nyquist signaling: Computing the minimum distance

open access: yes, 1990
In this paper we are concerned with the problem of computing the minimum of the L2 norm taken over the interval (−δ, δ), 0 < δ ⩽ 12, and over all non-trivial linear combinations of the functions exp(2πinθ), n = 0, 1, …; the coefficients in the linear ...

Synergistic Se‐Doping and Accompanying S‐Vacancies Drive Lattice Distortion and p‐Band Modulation for Enhanced Sodium Storage in Sulfides

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Se‐doping in sulfides facilitates the creation of S vacancies. The collaboration of Se‐doping and S vacancies not only induces lattice distortion to weaken the M─S bonds and lift the p‐band center for improved Na+ adsorption, but also increases the number of charge carriers for an improved electronic conductivity.

Multicarrier faster-than-Nyquist transceivers: hardware architecture and performance analysis

open access: yes, 2011
This paper evaluates the hardware aspects of multicarrier faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) signaling transceivers. The choice of time-frequency spacing of the symbols in an FTN system for improved bandwidth efficiency is targeted towards efficient hardware ...

A Hybrid Network Integrating MHSA and 1D CNN–Bi-LSTM for Interference Mitigation in Faster-than-Nyquist MIMO Optical Wireless Communications

open access: yesPhotonics
To mitigate inter-symbol interference (ISI) caused by Faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) technology in a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) optical wireless communication (OWC) system, we propose an ISI cancellation algorithm that combines multi-head self ...

Electronic‐State Polarization Engineering‐Regulated Fluorinated Covalent Organic Framework Nanocables for Fast Lithium‐Ion Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electronic‐state polarization engineering is realized by constructing fluorinated COF nanocables on conductive CNTs scaffolds. The polar C─F units generate localized electric fields and strong ion‐dipole interactions, promoting Li+ adsorption and transport.

Highly Robust Sn‐Based MAX Anodes Constructed via Ti6C Octahedral Outer Immobilization and A‐Layer Fe Inner Anchoring for Long‐Life Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
How can Sn‐based anodes achieve high capacity and long‐life cycling? This work unlocks the potential anode structure by confining Sn in the A layer of MAX phase with Ti6C octahedra as outer immobilization and Fe as inner anchors. The introduction of Fe dramatically strengthens the Ti–Sn bond to enhance structural integrity, modulate interfacial ...

Electrostatic Potential Complementarity for Thickness‐Tolerant Cathode Interlayers in High‐Efficiency Organic and Tandem Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Two model molecules — trimesic acid (TMA) and phloroglucinol (PG) — with opposite central electrostatic potential (ESP) distributions are employed to elucidate how molecular electrostatic interactions regulate the cathode interlayer (CIL) PDINN. Electrostatic potential complementarity is revealed as the intrinsic origin of thickness sensitivity in CILs,

One‐Step, High‐Removal‐Rate and Low‐Damage Chemical Mechanical Polishing of InP Enabled by Hydrolysis Activated PF6− with In Situ Fluoride Passivation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, we propose a CMP method for InP using NH4PF₆, which hydrolyzes under In3+ catalysis to form reactive species. These convert InP into low‐binding‐energy fluorides, facilitating removal and dissolution. The process delivers high material removal rates, smooth surfaces, and fluorine passivation that lowers defect density and improves ...
