BER performance of finite in time optimal FTN signals for the Viterbi algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Electronic Science and Technology, 2020
In this article, we consider the faster than Nyquist (FTN) technology in aspects of the application of the Viterbi algorithm (VA). Finite in time optimal FTN signals are used to provide a symbol rate higher than the “Nyquist barrier” without any encoding.

Simplified Soft-Output Direct Detection FTN Algorithm for 56-Gb/S Optical PAM-4 System Using 10G-Class Optics

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In this paper, a simplified soft-output direct detection faster than Nyquist (SO-DD-FTN) algorithm is proposed to eliminate severe inter-symbol interference in optical interconnects. The feasibility of the proposed algorithm is verified in a C-band 56-Gb/

Faster-than-Nyquist signaling: value and challenges of 6G-oriented applications

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2021
The faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) signaling technology overlaps multiple streams of data within a symbol period by compressing the transmit symbol time/frequency-domain interval, thus breaking the orthogonality of the Nyquist pulse waveform and achieving the

Densely Functionalized Cyanographene Bypasses Aqueous Electrolytes and Synthetic Limitations Toward Seamless Graphene/β‐FeOOH Hybrids for Supercapacitors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 29, Issue 51, December 19, 2019., 2019
Cyanographene (G‐CN), a densely functionalized but conductive graphene derivative, bypasses the need for aqueous electrolytes and for high areal‐mass current collectors, and also overcomes previous synthetic limitations toward seamless organic/inorganic hybrids for supercapacitors.

Low Complexity Message Passing Receiver for Faster-Than-Nyquist Signaling in Nonlinear Channels

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
The modern and future communication systems demand higher data rate exceeds current capabilities. Faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) signaling is a promising technique for the reason it can improve the spectral efficiency.
