Postprandial Blood Glucose can be less than Fasting Blood Glucose and this is not a Laboratory Error [PDF]
Higher fasting blood glucose level than post prandial level can be seen in variety of conditions in both normal population and diabetics. Various modifiable factors along with underlying condition of patient behind such laboratory picture are discussed ...

Estimation and implications of the genetic architecture of fasting and non-fasting blood glucose [PDF]
AbstractThe genetic regulation of post-prandial glucose levels is poorly understood. Here, we characterise the genetic architecture of blood glucose variably measured within 0 and 24 h of fasting in 368,000 European ancestry participants of the UK Biobank.

The relationship between whole blood iron and fasting blood glucose in community-dwelling elderly people: a cross-sectional study [PDF]
Iron overload increases fasting blood glucose level in mice, leading to insulin insensitivity. However, no such relationship has been shown in the population.

G6PC2 Modulates the Effects of Dexamethasone on Fasting Blood Glucose and Glucose Tolerance [PDF]
The glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit 2 (G6PC2) gene encodes an islet-specific glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit. G6PC2 forms a substrate cycle with glucokinase that determines the glucose sensitivity of insulin secretion. Consequently, deletion of G6pc2 lowers fasting blood glucose (FBG) without affecting fasting plasma insulin.
