Identity Salience and Involvement among Resident and Nonresident Fathers [PDF]

open access: yes
The literature on father involvement suggests that the value men ascribe to the father role is important for understanding their involvement with their children, yet this theory has received only limited empirical attention.

EIF5A Couples Translational Control With Transcriptional Reprogramming Through Chromocenter Reorganization During Spermiogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The translation factor Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A (eIF5A) is essential for male fertility in mice. It supports the translation of proteins crucial for heterochromatin organization and acrosome formation. eIF5A deficiency disrupts chromocenter integrity, increases chromatin accessibility, and causes transcriptional dysregulation ...

Revealing Robust Atomic Configurations of the Ligand‐Assisted Synthesized High‐Entropy PtIrFeCoNiCu Nano‐Intermetallic Catalysts During Oxygen Reductions in Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A facile ligand‐assisted strategy is developed to synthesize nanosized high‐entropy PtIr‐iHEA/C intermetallic catalyst (∼4.8 nm, 90% ordered). Structural analysis during oxygen reduction reveals its surface reconstructions, leading to a core–shell atomic configuration (PtIr‐iHEA@Pt) that originates the superior durability.

Lewis Acid‐Activated Charge Trapping in Dielectric Polymers for Superior High‐Temperature Electrostatic Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lewis acid–base molecular engineering tailors the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital of polymers to form deep, homogeneous charge traps in commercial polyetherimide (PEI). These deep traps effectively inhibit the transport of injected charge carriers from electrodes, ultimately enabling ultrahigh energy density and thermal stability in dielectric ...

Epidermal Cell Dynamics Regulates Rice Lamina Joint Morphogenesis and Leaf Angle Formation through OsZHD1 and OsZHD2 Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The lamina joint determines leaf angle and plant architecture. Xu et al. establish a live‐imaging system for the rice lamina joint and reveal that asymmetric epidermal cell elongation and division between the lateral and medial edges drive leaf angle formation.

Cellular Identity Crisis: RD3 Loss Fuels Plasticity and Immune Silence in Progressive Neuroblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Researchers discovered that therapy‐induced loss of RD3 protein in neuroblastoma triggers a dangerous shift: cancer cells become more stem‐like, invasive, and resistant to treatment while evading immune detection. RD3 loss suppresses antigen presentation and boosts immune checkpoints, creating an immune‐silent environment.
