Spatial distribution of microstructure in Inconel 718 3D‐printed with bidirectional strategy with no rotation and chessboard strategy is studied. The former results in a highly ordered arrangement of coarse grains separated by line clusters of dislocation‐dense fine grains. This arrangement is disrupted by the chessboard strategy.

On Equivalence of Likelihood-Based Confidence Bands for Fatigue-Life and Fatigue-Strength Distributions [PDF]
Fatigue data arise in many research and applied areas and there have been statistical methods developed to model and analyze such data. The distributions of fatigue life and fatigue strength are often of interest to engineers designing products that might fail due to fatigue from cyclic-stress loading.

Determination of subject-specific muscle fatigue rates under static fatiguing operations [PDF]
Cumulative local muscle fatigue may lead to potential musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) risks {\color{red}, and subject-specific muscle fatigability needs to be considered to reduce potential MSD risks.} This study was conducted to determine local muscle fatigue rate at shoulder joint level based on an exponential function derived from a muscle fatigue ...

This article introduces an automated approach for converting the raw research data (use case of low‐cycle‐fatigue testing dataset) to machine‐readable resource description framework ones and storing them in an open digital repository. As two main prerequisites for this data digitalization process, the development of fatigue testing ontology and ckan ...

Power–duration relationship: Physiology, fatigue, and the limits of human performance
The duration that exercise can be maintained decreases as the power requirements increase. In this review, we describe the power–duration (PD) relationship across the full range of attainable power outputs in humans. We show that a remarkably small range
