Creep Characterization of Inconel 718 Lattice Metamaterials Manufactured by Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView., 2023
Herein, the creep characteristics of additively manufactured Inconel 718 metamaterials are investigated. The creep behavior of metamaterials and the effects of microstructural defects are assessed, and the microstructure defects are accurately captured using Kachanov's creep damage model.

Enhancing fatigue life by ductile-transformable multicomponent B2 precipitates in a high-entropy alloy

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
Catastrophic accidents caused by fatigue failures often occur in engineering structures. Thus, a fundamental understanding of cyclic-deformation and fatigue-failure mechanisms is critical for the development of fatigue-resistant structural materials ...

Progressive Damage Modelling and Fatigue Life Prediction of Plain-weave Composite Laminates with Low-velocity Impact Damage [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
This paper developed a fatigue-driven residual strength model considering the effects of low-velocity impact (LVI) damage and stress ratio. New fatigue failure criteria based on fatigue-driven residual strength concept and fatigue progressive damage model were developed to simulate fatigue damage growth and predict fatigue life for plain-weave ...

Stress biomarkers, mood states and sleep during a major competition: success and failure athlete’s profile of high-level swimmers.

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2016
The aim of this study was to evaluate stress markers, mood states and sleep indicators in high-level swimmers during a major 7-days competition according to the outcomes. Nine swimmers (6 men and 3 women (age: 22 ± 2 years and 22 ± 4 years, respectively)
