Detection of the eye blinks for human's fatigue monitoring
2012 IEEE International Symposium on Medical Measurements and Applications Proceedings, 2012This paper presents a non-intrusive vision based system for eye blinks detection and fatigue level monitoring. It uses a web camera positioned in front of the face. A cascade of boosted classifiers based on Haar-like features is used for fast detection of the eyes region.

Detecting of Fatigue States of a Car Driver
2000This paper deals with research on fatigue states of car drivers on freeways and similar roads. All experiments are performed on-the-road. The approach is based on the assumption that fatigue indicators can be derived from driver+car system behaviour by measuring and processing appropriate factors.

The Early Detection of Fatigue Damage
1970Abstract : The report is the final technical report for a program directed at the development of nondestructive test (NDT) methods for the detection of early fatigue and fracture damage in metals and alloys. The program is based on an interdisciplinary approach designed to interrelate the factors of early fatigue damage with measurable physical ...

A Fatigue Crack Detection Methodology
2015This chapter presents a nonlinear modulation based fatigue crack detection methodology. It is estimated that up to 90 % of failures of in-service metallic structure are the result of fatigue cracks. The conventional techniques, which rely on the linear property modifications of ultrasonic waves, are reported to be not sensitive enough to detect the ...

“Calorimetric detection of fatigue localization zones”
2004The aim of the paper is the calorimetric detection of fatigue localization zones for an aluminium alloy starting from the thermal images provided by an infrared camera. By means of a local expression of the heat equation and a specific data processing the dissipative and coupling sources accompanying the fatigue test were separately estimated.

Fatigue - Life Establishment and Detection
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1968<div class="htmlview paragraph">This paper discusses some of the factors which give rise to the need for continuing surveillance against fatigue in the field of aircraft maintenance. The subject is presented in relation to the limitations of statistically significant data on fatigue producing forces in some areas, and the problem of scatter in ...
