Fatigue life prediction of sintered steels
Powder Metallurgy, 1999Abstract Low cycle fatigue damage of a sintered alloy was studied by comparing experimental results with those obtained from a model suggested in the literature, which considers the effect of non-zero mean strain on life prediction. Specimens of sintered Fe–C–Cu alloy with two different porosities were used.

Prediction of Acoustic Fatigue Life
1961Current procedures used by the airframe industry for predicting fatigue life of structures loaded by high-energy acoustical noise are reviewed. Deficiences in the methods are discussed and future work is suggested. The need for spectrum-type fatigue tests is emphasized.

Fatigue Life Prediction of Rivet Joints
Journal of Failure Analysis and Prevention, 2019Strength reduction in structures like an aircraft could be resulted as cyclic loads over a period of time and is an important factor for structural life prediction. Service loads are emphasized at the regions of stress concentration, mostly at the connection of components. The initial flaw prompting the service life was expected by using the Equivalent

Fatigue Life Prediction of Structures
1994Fatigue life prediction problems are discussed from the viewpoint of probabilistic mechanics of solids and structures. A survey of random factors in damage and fracture is presented with a special emphasis on the statistical scatter of mechanical properties of materials and/or structural components.

Fatigue Life Prediction of Complex Structures
Journal of Mechanical Design, 1978Because of the complex nature of the fatigue process, it is only recently that reasonably effective analysis procedures for predicting finite-fatigue life for simple notched coupons have evolved. One of the more vexing problems in adapting these procedures to making life predictions for complex components and structures is that of the multiplicity of ...

Fatigue life prediction of composite laminates
2004A method for the fatigue lifetime prediction of composite laminates is discussed. The method is based on the use of normalised fatigue curves obtained by an extensive re-analysis on a large number of fatigue data taken from literature. The available data were divided into several groups according to the following parameters: type of fibre, type of ...

A Multiaxial Fatigue Life Prediction Program
1997ABSTRACT A step-by-step process for multiaxial fatigue life prediction is outlined. The approach is built from existing models and methods, modified to fit into integrated software. The process begins with an elastic finite element analysis to determine geometry factors, continues with stress-strain calculation via notch correction/plasticity, and ...
