An approach to estimate the wind load spectra for heliostats is proposed. It is based on the wind-induced fatigue cycle counts for buildings given by the Eurocode EN 1991 and considers heliostat specific impact factors.

Multi-Objective Optimisation for Large-Scale Offshore Wind Farm Based on Decoupled Groups Operation
Operation optimization for large-scale offshore wind farms can cause the fatigue loads of single wind turbines to exceed their limits. This study aims to improve the economic profit of offshore wind farms by conducting multi-objective optimization via ...

Individual Pitch Control of Wind Turbines Based on SVM Load Estimation and LIDAR Measurement
With the development of wind turbines to the large scale with high rated powers, how to reduce fatigue loads is the key factor for modern wind turbine control. Aiming at reducing the wind turbine structural fatigue loads, an individual pitch control (IPC)

The estimation of fatigue crack growth for a ship structure is a complicated subject, especially when loads vary. Several researchers studied fatigue crack growth under varying loads with simple block loads, and many models have been proposed.

A probabilistic model for the high cycle fatigue behaviour of cast aluminium alloys subject to complex loads [PDF]
Lien vers la version éditeur: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0142112312002472This article is dedicated to the high cycle fatigue behaviour of cast hypo-eutectic Al–Si alloys and in particular the AlSi7Cu05Mg03 alloy.

Fatigue Measurements in an Existing Highway Concrete Bridge
Knowing the actual fatigue effects helps to assess the structural safety of bridges more accurately. Especially when the actions change or increase, it is important to be able to determine this.

SummaryTendon injuries, often called tendinopathies, are debilitating and painful conditions, generally considered to develop as a result of tendon overuse. The aetiology of tendinopathy remains poorly understood, and whilst tendon biopsies have provided some information concerning tendon appearance in late‐stage disease, there is still little ...

Modelling the role of non metallic inclusions on the anisotropic fatigue behaviour of forged steel [PDF]
Forged components are known to show high cyclic and monotonic mechanical properties. This is mainly due to a better compactness and a finer microstructure introduced by the forming process. However, this good mechanical behaviour is sometimes a source of
