Sports Medicine, 2007
This article reviews research sourced through sport science and medical journal databases (SportDiscus and PubMed) that has attempted to quantify the effects of fatigue on tennis performance. Specific physiological perturbations and their effects on common performance measures, such as stroke velocity and accuracy, are discussed.

The Effect of Fatigue on Resident Performance
Radiology, 1977Fourteen rested and fatigued residents read a set of 25 test radiographs on two separate occasions approximately one month apart. The radiographs were made with partial chest phantom using pulmonary nodules as test objects. Seven rested and 7 fatigued residents read the radiographs, and a month later the order of fatigue was reversed.

Effects of fatigue on golf performance
Sports Biomechanics, 2012The purpose of this study was to determine if body position, weight transfer, and/or pelvis/trunk rotations changed as a result of a golf specific fatiguing protocol and whether these changes affected resultant club head velocity at impact and shot consistency. Six male golfers and one female golfer participated in the study, who had a mean age, height,

High-temperature rheological behavior and fatigue performance of lignin modified asphalt binder
Construction and Building Materials, 2020The objective of this study was to introduce lignin as a bio-additive to modify the base asphalt and investigate the high-temperature rheological performances of lignin modified asphalts and virgin asphalt. In this study, asphalt PG 58-28 was selected as

Fatigue Transfer in Endurance Performance
Research Quarterly. American Alliance for Health, Physical Education and Recreation, 1976Abstract Data on 32 male college students were used to test the hypothesis that fatigue products produced by the performance of heavy physical work involving the largest and most powerful muscle groups of the body (legs) would transfer to and impair another immediately following motor performance which utilized musculature that was not active during ...

Analysis of the effect of internal defects on fatigue performance of additive manufactured metals
, 2020Additive manufacturing (AM) technologies are growing rapidly to generate unique complex parts with short lead times. To achieve industrial standards for critical applications such as in biomedical and aerospace industries, AM parts should provide the ...

Effects of post-processing route on fatigue performance of laser powder bed fusion Inconel 718
, 2020Fatigue performance of Inconel 718 (IN718) parts built using laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) is often poorer than that of the cast and wrought alloy parts. This is because of detrimental effects arising from the microstructures such as brittle phases and
