Extraframework cation distribution in Bi-Y faujasites
2017This chapter gives a tabular compilation of extraframework cation distribution in Ba-Y type zeolites. A brief introduction about the crystal structure of Ba-X and Ba-Y faujasites is also discussed.

Abstract La-exchanged faujasite dehydrated under vacuum at 475°C, and measured at room temperature has 11.8 La in S(I), 2.6 in S(I′) and 1.5 in S(II). This distribution and the interatomic distances agree with energy minimization for a simple electrostatic model in which there are few residual molecules attached to La ions.

Thermal behavior of synthetic faujasite
Journal of Catalysis, 1969Abstract Data are presented to show that the thermal stability of synthetic faujasite is dependent on the level of sodium present. A simple relationship has been found between the sodium content of ammonium-exchanged faujasite and the temperature at which breakdown of the zeolite structure occurs.
