Calcium silicate materials are synthesized using eggshell waste as a sustainable calcium source. Quaternary ammonium salts are employed as key structure‐directing agents, favoring the formation of the clay‐like mineral rhodesite with a significantly higher surface area than previously reported. The hemostatic performance of the synthesized materials is

Faujasite catalyzed nitrodeiodination of iodopyrazoles
Abstract Nitrodeiodination of iodopyrazoles using nitric acid/Faujasite has been investigated. The present procedure is simple, rapid and convenient and requires no sulfuric acid or oleum and may be applied for the synthesis of several nitropyrazoles in good yields in drug and pharmaceutical industries.

A New Source of Reaction - Diffusion Coupling in Confined Systems due to Temperature Inhomogeneity [PDF]
Diffusion is often accompanied by a reaction or sorption which can induce temperature inhomogeneities. Monte Carlo simulations of Lennard-Jones atoms in zeolite NaCaA are reported with a hot zone presumed to be created by a reaction. Our simulations show

A composite solid polymer electrolyte was designed by incorporating LiX zeolites into polyethylene oxide matrix. This design enhances the ionic conductivity, achieves long‐term cycling stability (85.71% capacity retention within 800 cycles) and supports all‐solid‐state pouch cells under mechanical abuse conditions such as folding, twisting, and cutting.

Hydrothermal synthesis of zeolites from coal fly ash [PDF]
The fly ash, from the combustion of coal to produce energy and heat, is an industrial waste, in which large accumulations represent a serious environmental threat. To reduce the environmental burden and improve the economic benefits of energy production,

Enhancing mechanical properties of ceramic papers loaded with zeolites using borate compounds as binders [PDF]
NaY zeolite-containing ceramic papers were prepared by a papermaking technique with a dual polyelectrolyte retention system that implied the use of cationic and anionic polymers. To improve their mechanical properties, we found that some borate compounds
