Heterogeneity in the Global Practice of Central Nervous System Staging in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) involvement in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is assessed by cell counting and cytomorphology from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and is used for treatment stratification worldwide. The ratio of “CNS2” patients in clinical trials ranges from 3% to 40%, with unclear prognostic significance ...

An adaptive artificial immune system for fault classification

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Manufacturing, 2010
Fault diagnosis is very important in ensuring safe and reliable operation in manufacturing systems. This paper presents an adaptive artificial immune classification approach for diagnosis of induction motor faults. The proposed algorithm uses memory cells tuned using the magnitude of the standard deviation obtained with average affinity variation in ...

Multiple Feature Vectors Based Fault Classification for WSN Integrated Bearing of Rolling Mill

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2018
For rolling mill machines, the operation status of bearing has a close relationship with process safety and production effectiveness. Therefore, reliable fault diagnosis and classification are indispensable.

Therapeutic Apheresis for Intravenous Methylprednisolone‐Refractory Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder: Clinical and Radiological Outcomes in a Single‐Center Case Series

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. High‐dose intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) is the standard first‐line therapy for acute attacks, although some patients remain refractory.

Prognosis of Long‐Term Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and the Impact of Combined Continuous Intravenous Sodium Infusion Therapy

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.

An Adaptive Simplified Travelling Wave‐Based Fault Detection, Classification and Location Estimation Strategy for Series Compensated Transmission Lines

open access: yesIET Smart Grid
Faults in power transmission systems pose significant challenges due to the complexity and length of transmission lines. Effective fault detection, classification and location are essential for preventing further damage to the power grid.

Kernel Entropy-Based Classification Approach for Superbuck Converter Circuit Fault Diagnosis

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
How to extract the fault feature and how to design the classification algorithm are the two most critical problems in power electronic circuits (PECs) fault diagnosis.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Fault diagnosis of motor drives using stator current signal analysis based on dynamic time warping [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Electrical motor stator current signals have been widely used to monitor the condition of induction machines and their downstream mechanical equipment. The key technique used for current signal analysis is based on Fourier transform (FT) to extract weak ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
