Induction Motors Bearing Failures Detection and Diagnosis: Park and Concordia Transform Approaches Comparative Study

open access: yes, 2007
International audienceThis paper deals with the problem of bearing failure detection and diagnosis in induction motors. Indeed, bearings deterioration is now the main cause of induction motor rotor failures.

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Model-based sensor supervision inland navigation networks: Cuinchy-Fontinettes case study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In recent years, inland navigation networks benefit from the innovation of the instrumentation and SCADA systems. These data acquisition and control systems lead to the improvement of the manage- ment of these networks.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Takagi Sugeno fuzzy expert model based soft fault diagnosis for two tank interacting system

open access: yesArchives of Control Sciences, 2014
The inherent characteristics of fuzzy logic theory make it suitable for fault detection and diagnosis (FDI). Fault detection can benefit from nonlinear fuzzy modeling and fault diagnosis can profit from a transparent reasoning system, which can embed ...

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Crack detection using nonlinear output frequency response functions - an experimental study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The new concept of Nonlinear Output Frequency Response Functions (NOFRFs) is introduced in this paper to detect cracks in beams using frequency domain information.

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

Implementation of a model based fault detection and diagnosis for actuation faults of the Space Shuttle main engine [PDF]

open access: yes
In a previous study, Guo, Merrill and Duyar, 1990, reported a conceptual development of a fault detection and diagnosis system for actuation faults of the space shuttle main engine. This study, which is a continuation of the previous work, implements the
