ATE hardware diagnostics, fault detection, and fault isolation tool (self-test adapter)
AUTOTESTCON '88. Symposium Proceedings IEEE International Automatic Testing Conference, Futuretest., 2003The question of multiple levels of self-test for automatic test equipment (ATE) is examined, and a three-level self-test concept is proposed. Level one will verify test resource communications and built-in test (BIT), level two will check all of the switching resources, and level three will test the measurement and output stimulus resources.

Multivariate statistical signal processing technique for fault detection and diagnostics
ISA Transactions, 1990Abstract The normal fluctuation of wideband signals in process industry systems exhibits behavior that is characteristic of process dynamics, sensor dynamics, vibration of components, and product quality. A baseline statistical signature behavior can be established by a systematic processing of multivariate signals and determining the cause and ...

Feature Engineering for Ball Bearing Combined-Fault Detection and Diagnostic
2019 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Diagnostics for Electrical Machines, Power Electronics and Drives (SDEMPED), 2019The non detection of bearing faults in rotating machines can lead to less availability, reliability and safety while increasing the maintenance costs due to unexpected breakdowns and urgent repairing. This paper deals with feature engineering to enhance the performance of an early fault detection and diagnostic of ball bearings of asynchronous ...

Vehicle Diagnostics Method by Anomaly Detection and Fault Identification Software
SAE International Journal of Passenger Cars - Electronic and Electrical Systems, 2009<div class="htmlview paragraph">A new approach is proposed for fault detection. It builds on using the relationships between sensor values on vehicles to detect deviating sensor readings and trends in the system performance. However, in contrast to previous approaches based on such sensor relations, our approach uses a fleet of vehicles to define
