Integrated Fault-Detection and Isolation and Fault-Tolerant Control

2013
This chapter generalizes the results of Chap. 3 to include multi-input multi-output nonlinear systems subject to multiple faults in the control actuators and constraints on the manipulated inputs. An integrated framework for fault detection and isolation and fault-tolerant control is presented. Similar to Chap.

Automaton-based fault detection and isolation

Computers & Chemical Engineering, 1999
Abstract We present a fault detection and isolation method which is based on the observation of events. Several propositions are given that can be used directly for a fault detection and isolation scheme, and that can serve as a tool to analyze fault detection and isolation properties of the system. The results are illustrated by means of an example.

Active aircraft fault detection and isolation

2001 IEEE Autotestcon Proceedings. IEEE Systems Readiness Technology Conference. (Cat. No.01CH37237), 2002
In this paper, we describe development and analysis of an active fault detection and isolation system for the commuter and business aircraft. To accommodate faults wherever possible, we develop an algorithm that can reliably detect and isolate system faults with minimal disruption of normal aircraft operations.

Energetic approach to parametric fault detection and isolation

Proceedings of the 2004 American Control Conference, 2004
This paper concerned with the diagnosis and identification of parametric fault which may occur in a physical system. The method uses a bond graph system model to generate residual signals for fault diagnosis. Fault identification of system parameters is obtained by the analysis of the bond graph model topology.

Fault Detectability, Isolability and Identifiability

2013
Fault detectability, isolability and identifiability describe structural properties of a dynamic system, which are of fundamental importance in dealing with the analysis and synthesis of model-based FDI systems. This chapter gives the definitions and existence conditions of fault detectability, isolability and identifiability, and together with them ...

Detection and Isolation of Multiplicative Faults

2020
The previous chapters are mainly dedicated to the diagnosis issues of additive faults. Even if further efforts are needed to develop novel methods to deal with this class of faults more efficiently, it is the common opinion that the framework of diagnosing additive faults is well established.

ROBUST FAULT DETECTION AND ISOLATION IN MOBILE ROBOT

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006
Abstract Robust nonlinear analytical redundancy (RNLAR) technique is used to detect and isolate actuator and sensor faults in a mobile robot. Both model-plant-mismatch (MPM) and process disturbance are considered during fault detection. The RNLAR is used to design primary residual vectors (PRV), which are highly sensitive to the faults and less ...

Data-Driven Robust Fault Detection and Isolation of Three-Phase Induction Motor

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2019
This paper deals with data-driven fault diagnosis of three-phase induction motor. The tools from subspace identification based data-driven scheme are utilized to design a framework of fault detection and isolation.
