Fault diagnosis in Mobile Ad-hoc Network is very challenging task. Diagnosis algorithm should be efficient enough to find the status (either faulty or fault-free) of each mobile in the network. The models in the literature are either for static fault or dynamic fault. Dynamic fault identification is more complex and difficult than static fault. In this

Diagnosis in the Presence of Known Faults
IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1984Summary: Diagnosis of an entire system when known faults are present and diagnosis of particular faults in the system when known faults are present are two diagnosis problems that are relevant to computer systems that are reconfigurable and employ distributed control. These problems are formalized, and a diagnostic model based on a model of Russell and

We consider a dynamic fault diagnosis problem: there are n processors, to be tested in a series of rounds. In every testing round we use a directed matching to have some processors report on the status (good or faulty) of other processors. Also, in each round up to t processors may break down, and we may direct that up to t processors are repaired.

An Approach to the Diagnosis of Intermittent Faults
IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1975A procedure for the diagnosis of intermittent faults in combinational circuits is suggested. This procedure employs a probabilistic model for intermittent failures and presumes that a detection experiment has been run. The circuit is assumed to be irredundant and to possess a single fault out of n possible ones.

Fault-diagnosis and fault-compensation for nonlinear systems
Proceedings of the 2000 American Control Conference. ACC (IEEE Cat. No.00CH36334), 2000The principle of fault detection is expanded to fault compensation. The main idea is to use the residual signals generated by a fault detection and isolation system (FDI) in order to reject the effects of faults on the plant. This has the advantage that nominal operation of the plant can be sustained even during the occurrence of a fault.

Fault detection and diagnosis of memory system faults
Proceedings of the June 1971 design automation workshop on Design automation - DAC '71, 1971Algorithms for the detection and diagnosis of faults in semiconductor random-access, word-organized memory systems are presented and evaluated. The memory system is conceptually partitioned into four major elements to facilitate analysis. During the testing of each element, previously tested elements are assumed to be fault-free, but untested elements ...

Scan chain fault diagnosis with fault dictionaries
Proceedings of ISCAS'95 - International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002Scan based diagnostic schemes implicitly assume that the scan path itself is fault-free. However, the logic circuitry associated with the scan chain can occupy a considerable area of the chip and hence should not be neglected during fault diagnosis. In this work we propose a simple extension to the scan chain to diagnose faults in scan chains based ...

On the applications of SVD in fault diagnosis
SMC'03 Conference Proceedings. 2003 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics. Conference Theme - System Security and Assurance (Cat. No.03CH37483), 2004Practically measured time series signals are reconstructed in phase space. By using singular value decomposition (SVD) theory, the method of singular spectrum characteristic based on the reconstructed attractor track matrix is proposed to increase the signal noise ratio (SNR), then the detection of abrupt information and early rub-impact detection of ...
