A Strategy Using Variational Mode Decomposition, L-Kurtosis and Minimum Entropy Deconvolution to Detect Mechanical Faults

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
When faults occur in mechanical components, the faulty information is usually manifested as a series of periodic impulses which correspond to the faulty feature frequencies.

A Multi-Objective Hybrid Cloud Resource Scheduling Method Based on Deadline and Cost Constraints

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
We propose a task-oriented multi-objective scheduling method based on ant colony optimization (MOSACO) to optimize the finite pool of public and private computing resources in a hybrid cloud computing environment according to deadline and cost ...

A Two-Stage Method Using Spline-Kernelled Chirplet Transform and Angle Synchronous Averaging to Detect Faults at Variable Speed

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Conventional order tracking, which relies on a reference signal, is a common tool for rotary machinery fault diagnosis under speed fluctuation working conditions. However, it is inconvenient to install a speed sensor under certain circumstances.

A Transfer Learning Framework with a One-Dimensional Deep Subdomain Adaptation Network for Bearing Fault Diagnosis under Different Working Conditions

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Accurate and fast rolling bearing fault diagnosis is required for the normal operation of rotating machinery and equipment. Although deep learning methods have achieved excellent results for rolling bearing fault diagnosis, the performance of most ...

Internet of Things for Disaster Management: State-of-the-Art and Prospects

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Disastrous events are cordially involved with the momentum of nature. As such mishaps have been showing off own mastery, situations have gone beyond the control of human resistive mechanisms far ago.

A Setup for Active Fault Diagnosis [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2006
A setup for active fault diagnosis (AFD) of parametric faults in dynamic systems is formulated in this note. It is shown that it is possible to use the same setup for both open loop systems, closed-loop systems based on a nominal feedback controller as well as for closed-loop systems based on a reconfigured feedback controller.
