Geology of the Thrust Fault near Gardiner, Montana
The Journal of Geology, 1934The Gardiner thrust fault has been mapped in detail from the west side of Cinnabar Mountain, Montana, where it appears from under a cover of Tertiary volcanics, southeastward to a point 3 miles east of Mount Everts, Yellowstone National Park, where it passes under the volcanics.

Structural Geology of Shawneetown Fault Zone, Southeastern Illinois: ABSTRACT
AAPG Bulletin, 1983Vertical movements of crustal blocks along the narrow east-west-trending Shawneetown fault zone in southeastern Illinois occurred between Early Permian and Late Cretaceous. The main blocks moved vertically and returned to roughly their original positions so that strata now show little relative offset across the fault zone.

Applications of quaternary geology to assess fault activity, Palmdale area, California, U.S.A.
Quaternary International, 1993Abstract Quaternary geologic investigations are routinely applied in California to assess the time of last fault displacement for purposes of engineering mitigation and regional planning. This is exemplified by investigations for a 400-ha housing tract at Palmdale, California, where several photolineaments were trenched to determine their origin ...

Earthquake geology of the last millennium along the Boconó Fault, Venezuela
Tectonophysics, 2018Abstract The Holocene tectonic activity of Latin American countries is poorly constrained because of the short time span of the instrumental record and the lack of any seismic calendar during pre-colonization times. Therefore, some areas with low and diffused seismicity have been catalogued as a “seismic gap”.
