Fault-Tolerant Predictive Control with Sensor Faults
In this paper, a Fault-Tolerant Model Predictive Controller (FTMPC) is developed for linear Variable Parameter Systems (LPVs) subject to sensor faults and input constraints. First, an augmented state-space model contains both state variables and estimation error is used to synthesize a robust predictive controller while an observer is designed to ...Sofiane, Bououden +4 more

Can Cohesion Predict Fault Density?
IEEE International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications, 2006., 2006Cohesion is an internal software attribute which depicts how well the components of a software module are connected. It is thought of as having effect on the quality of the software system. This paper presents the results of an empirical investigation of whether cohesion of object-oriented systems plays a role on software reliability.

Analog Microcircuit Fault Prediction
1994Abstract : This report documents an effort to determine the feasibility of constructing a realistic fault set for a given analog microcircuit from the information provided by a microcircuit yield simulator program. A methodology for this was developed and demonstrated using a simple PMOS process.

Software Fault Prediction Process
2018Accurate detection and early removal of software faults during the software development can reduce the overall cost of software development and can result in the improved software quality product. These inherent advantages of software fault prediction have attracted many researchers to focus on the software fault prediction.

Predicting and Classifying Software Faults
Proceedings of the 2019 7th International Conference on Computer and Communications Management, 2019In the field of software engineering, the detection of fault in the software has become a major topic to explore. With the help of data mining and machine learning approaches, this paper aims to denote whether a software is fault prone or not. In order to accomplish that this paper gives importance to compare between different machine learning ...

Fault prediction for analog circuits
Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing, 1988The main problems that are the major concern in network testing are fault detection, fault location, and fault prediction. In this paper a multiple-fault-prediction algorithm is proposed for analog circuits with inaccessible nodes. The components in the circuits may be nominals or may be deviated from the nominals within a prescribed tolerance.

Fault-tolerant model predictive control
2010 IEEE 15th Conference on Emerging Technologies & Factory Automation (ETFA 2010), 2010Model predictive control (MPC) has developed considerably in the last decades both in industry and in academia. This success is due to the fact that MPC is perhaps the most general way of posing the control problem in the time domain. One of the main advantages of MPC is that model uncertainties can be taken explicitly into account and this allows for ...

Class level fault prediction using software clustering
2013 28th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Automated Software Engineering (ASE), 2013Defect prediction approaches use software metrics and fault data to learn which software properties associate with faults in classes. Existing techniques predict fault-prone classes in the same release (intra) or in a subsequent releases (inter) of a subject software system.

Fault Prediction of Electronic Equipment
Advanced Science and Technology Letters, 2015Fault prediction is the precondition of Condition Based Maintenance (CBM), accurate prediction for equipment can not only make warning before failure occurs, but also reduce the cost of maintenance of complicated equipment and system. This paper analyses some typical fault prediction method of electronic equipment, and presented improvement measures ...

Fault-Threshold Prediction with Linear Programming Methodologies
Empirical Software Engineering, 2003This paper presents a new experimental methodology that operates on a series of programs structural parameters. We calculated some simple metrics on these parameters and then we applied linear programming techniques on them. It was therefore possible to define a model that can predict the risk level of a program, namely how prone it is to containing ...
