Roulette‐Inspired Physical Unclonable Functions: Stochastic yet Deterministic Multi‐Bit Patterning through the Solutal Marangoni Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Geometric multi‐bit patterning based on dynamic wetting and dewetting phenomena creates roulette‐like Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) labels with stochastic yet deterministic properties. This method leverages the solutal‐Marangoni effect for high randomness while achieving deterministic multinary patterns through polygonal confinement of binary ...

Multi‐Pathway Upconversion Emission in Symmetry‐Broken Nanocavities: Broadband Multiresonant Enhancement and Anti‐Correlated Interfacial Sensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Symmetry‐broken plasmonic nanoantenna arrays achieve broadband multiresonant enhancement of second harmonic generation (SHG), third harmonic generation (THG), and upconversion photoluminescence (UCPL), under femtosecond laser excitation across the near‐infrared range (1000–1600 nm).

Identification of High Impedance Faults Utilizing Recurrence Plots [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This paper presents a systematic approach to detecting High Impedance Faults (HIFs) in medium voltage distribution networks using recurrence plots and machine learning. We first simulate 1150 internal faults, including 300 HIFs, 1000 external faults, and 40 normal conditions using the PSCAD/EMTDC software.

Towards Formal Fault Tree Analysis using Theorem Proving [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) is a dependability analysis technique that has been widely used to predict reliability, availability and safety of many complex engineering systems. Traditionally, these FTA-based analyses are done using paper-and-pencil proof methods or computer simulations, which cannot ascertain absolute correctness due to their inherent ...
