Digital Discovery of Synthesizable Metal−Organic Frameworks via Molecular Dynamics‑Informed, High‑Fidelity Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Tabular foundation model interrogates the synthetic likelihood of metal−organic frameworks. Abstract Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are celebrated for their chemical and structural versatility, and in‑silico screening has significantly accelerated their discovery; yet most hypothetical MOFs (hMOFs) never reach the bench because their synthetic ...

Stress disturbance around Xianshuihe fault zone in the eastern Qinghai–Tibet Plateau and implication for fault stability

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
The Xianshuihe fault zone in the eastern Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau is an important active tectonic boundary. Understanding its stress state is important for characterizing the dynamic evolution of the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau and the mechanism of the frequent

FAM-1 Borehole: first results from the scientific drilling of the Alhama de Murcia Fault, Betic Cordillera, Spain [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We present the preliminary results of the borehole FAM-1 a 175 m depth scientific drilling of the Alhama de Murcia fault. The borehole was drilled close to La Torrecilla rambla three km SW of Lorca where the fault zone shearing is more concentrated and ...

A Tracer Diffusion Study of Diverse Photo‐Ionic Phenomena in Strontium Titanate

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Two strong interfacial photo‐ionic effects are demonstrated for the model system SrTiO3 through the application of isotope exchange experiments: UV illumination is found to enhance the oxygen surface exchange coefficient by several orders of magnitude and to depress the surface space‐charge potential substantially.

Identification and interpretation of tectonic features from Skylab imagery [PDF]

open access: yes
The author has identified the following significant results. S190-B imagery confirmed previous conclusions from S190-A that the Garlock fault does not extend eastward beyond its known termination near the southern end of Death Valley.

The Anisotropic Adsorption of De Novo Allosteric Two‐Component Protein Fibers on Mica Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interfacial behavior of de novo designed proteins that self‐assemble into tubular architectures with distinct morphologies — small (S), large (L), and helical (H) fibers — at the muscovite mica‐water interface is explored using in situ AFM. Abstract Protein adsorption at solid–liquid interfaces underlies many biomedical and materials
