Polystyrene Microplastics‐Induced Thyroid Dysfunction in Mice: A Study of Gene Expression, Oxidative Stress, and Histopathological Changes

Exposure to PS‐MPs in mice resulted in significant alterations in thyroid function, marked by increased calcium, thyroxin, free T3, free T4, ALP, AST, ALT, and amylase levels, alongside elevated oxidative stress. Histopathological analysis revealed thyroid follicle abnormalities, including colloid loss, hemorrhage, and necrosis.

Fauna ptica gnjezdarica Kopačkog rita i Baranje

Od 1853. godine do danas na području Parka prirode Kopački rit i šire u Baranji ukupno je zabilježeno gniježđenje 144 vrsta ptica. U periodu 1998-2003. godine zabilježeno je gniježđenje 130 vrta ptica od kojih 119 smatramo redovitim gnjezdaricama koje se gnijezde svake godine, a daljnjih 11 povremenim.

Fauna ptica Hrvatske izrazito je bogata te broji 401 vrstu. Iako istraživanja ornitofaune Hrvatske traju preko 200 godina, ornitofauna nekih dijelova slabo je istražena, a jedan od takvih primjera je i otok Pag. Otok Pag nalazi se na Jadranskom seobenom putu koji koriste milijuni ptica tijekom svoje seobe.

U ovom su radu prikazani rezultati jednogodišnjeg istraživanja ornitofaune na području poplavne doline Dunava u Baranji.
