A Faunistic Survey of Bees (Hymenoptera: Apoidea) in the Black Belt Prairie of Mississippi

Abstract A survey of bees (Apoidea) in the Black Belt Prairie of northern Mississippi was conducted from 1991 to 2001. Collecting methods included netting specimens from floral hosts and use of malaise traps. The survey resulted in collection of 6138 specimens, of which 3627 were identified to 118 species.

1999年11月及び2000年6月に日本海最西部の水深43-133mの海域において6科11属13種のクモヒトデが採集された。この中で5種、Ophiophrixus acanthius、Ophiocentrus koehleri、Amphiura (A.) teptobrachia、Amphiophiura pomphophora、Ophiomusium scatrareが日本海初記録であった。日本海全域からこれまでに採集されたクモヒトデ類の動物地理についても論じた。

For more than a century from 1865 to 1972 there were only fragmentary and intermittent studies of Iberian caddis flies by a few entomologists. From 1972, the state of knowledge has been notably improved by continuing contributions from several authors, adding 58 species to the Iberian Trichoptera catalogue.

Faunistic survey of Aphidoidea (Hemiptera) and associated predatory ladybirds in orchards, Yazd Province, Iran

A faunistic survey of aphids was carried out in the centre of Iran. Aphids were collected and identified from 14 host plants. Thirteen species, belonging to 3 families (Aphididae, Pemphigidae, Lachnidae) were recorded. According to collected data, the family Aphididae had the highest number identified species of the 3 families.
