FBG-based temperature sensor package

2014 9th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS), 2014
A fiber Brag grating (FBG)-based temperature sensor accompanying with low cost interrogation scheme and LCD display has been designed and tested. The designed sensor measures the temperature from 20°C to 500°C with 1°C resolution.

FBG Sensor Module Performance Estimation

LEOS 2007 - IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society Annual Meeting Conference Proceedings, 2007
A method to estimate FBG sensor module performance is presented. Both temperature effect and stress effect on bare and packaged FBG sensors have been addressed theoretically and experimentally with good agreement.

Substrate-type sensitized FBG temperature sensor

Sensor Review, 2023
Purpose In response to the common low sensitivity of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) temperature sensors in measurement, an FBG temperature sensor sensitized in a substrate-type package structure is proposed. Design/methodology/approach The sensitivity of sensors is analyzed theoretically; aluminum alloys with large coefficient of thermal expansion are ...

Tilt sensor with FBG technology and matched FBG demodulating method

IEEE Sensors Journal, 2006
A tilt measurement structure and signal detection method is proposed based on a self-demodulated fiber-Bragg grating (FBG) sensor, which consists of a couple of matched FBGs and a cantilever-based pendulum clinometer. Compared by the typical matched FBGs demodulating method, of which a sensing FBG and a demodulating filter FBG is placed separately ...

Portable FBG based optical sensor array

2015 IEEE Sensors Applications Symposium (SAS), 2015
Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors have become quite common in many applications for monitoring strain, temperature and similar. These systems are usually fixed since the FBG interrogation unit is sensitive to the environment and therefore mounted into the equipment cabinet.
