iQSPR in XenonPy: A Bayesian Molecular Design Algorithm

open access: yesMolecular Informatics, Volume 39, Issue 1-2, January 2020., 2020
Abstract iQSPR is an inverse molecular design algorithm based on Bayesian inference that was developed in our previous study. Here, the algorithm is integrated in Python as a new module called iQSPR‐X in the all‐in‐one materials informatics platform XenonPy.

Global variation in anastomosis and end colostomy formation following left‐sided colorectal resection

open access: yesBJS Open, Volume 3, Issue 3, Page 403-414, June 2019., 2019
This secondary analysis of an international prospective multicentre observational study demonstrates significant variation in the proportion of patients receiving an end stoma after left‐sided colorectal resection between high‐ and low–middle‐income countries; this cannot be accounted for by case mix alone.

Discovery of 2‐(1,2,4‐triazol‐3‐yl)pyridine KTD‐092 as a novel DYRK1A inhibitor

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, Volume 46, Issue 5, Page 520-525, May 2025.
KTD‐092 is a novel 2‐(1,2,4‐triazol‐3‐yl)pyridine DYRK1A inhibitor for neurodegenerative diseases treatment. KTD‐092 reduces tau phosphorylation in a human neuroblastoma cell in a concentration‐dependent manner. Structure–activity relationship and molecular modeling of KTD‐092 are carefully disclosed.

Pooled analysis of WHO Surgical Safety Checklist use and mortality after emergency laparotomy

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), Volume 106, Issue 2, Page e103-e112, January 2019., 2019
WHO Surgical Safety checklist use in emergency laparotomy was associated with a significantly lower perioperative mortality, yet its use in low‐HDI countries was half that of high‐HDI countries. The greatest absolute gains may be made by focusing patient safety programmes in emergency settings in low‐ and middle‐HDI countries.

Dynamics of Neuronal and Astrocytic Energy Molecules in Epilepsy

open access: yesJournal of Neurochemistry, Volume 169, Issue 3, March 2025.
The dynamics of energy molecules in the mouse brain during metabolic challenges induced by epileptic seizures were studied using transgenic mice with FRET‐based pyruvate or ATP sensors selectively expressed in astrocytes or neurons, respectively. In response to epileptic neuronal hyperactivity, astrocytic cytosolic pyruvate levels increased, while ...
