Effects of POPG and Cholesterol on Freeze–Thawing Mediated Content Exchange and Transcription in Giant Unilamellar Vesicles

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 21, 12 November 2026.
Phospholipid 1‐palmitoyl‐2‐oleoyl‐sn‐glycero‐3‐phospho‐(1′‐rac‐glycerol)/cholesterol membranes suppress transcription in intact giant unilamellar vesicles but show the highest RNA synthesis following freeze–thaw (F/T)‐mediated content mixing. These findings highlight the context‐dependent effects of membrane composition on biochemical activity ...

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 11, Page 2839-2859, November 2026.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Poly(Alkoxythiophene) Rod‐Coil Block Copolymers for Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 61, 2 November 2026.
We present the first synthesis of poly(3‐alkoxythiophene) rod‐coil block copolymers as a new architecture for OMIECs. Incorporating PEG and PLLA coils can enhance device performance beyond the homopolymer. The figure‐of‐merit depends uniquely on coil length.

PROTAC‐Engineered Protein/DNA Nanoantigen is a Potent Booster for Dendritic Cell Vaccines in Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 61, 3 November 2026.
A PROTAC‐functionalized protein/DNA‐integrated nanoantigen platform is developed to enhance dendritic cell vaccine potency. By combining a VHL‐recruiting peptide‐modified antigen with a sustained expression plasmid within CaCO3 nanoparticles, this system amplifies cross‐presentation, promotes DC maturation, and elicits robust Th1 and CTL responses ...

Contrasting Spatial Genomic Structure in Two Widespread Grassland Species Across Norway Supports Species‐Specific Seed Sourcing

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 11, November 2026.
Seed sourcing for ecological restoration often relies on broad administrative zones that may not reflect underlying genetic structure. Using genome‐wide ddRAD‐seq data from two co‐occurring Norwegian grassland species, we show contrasting patterns: Silene dioica exhibits moderate spatial genetic structure indicating the need for localized sourcing ...

Real‐World Survival Outcomes of Venetoclax Combination Therapies in Acute Myeloid Leukemia: Impact of Minimal Residual Disease Status and Antifungal Prophylaxis

open access: yesHematological Oncology, Volume 44, Issue 6, November 2026.
ABSTRACT In recent years the addition of the oral BCL2 inhibitor venetoclax to hypomethylating agents (HMAs) has emerged as the standard‐of‐care for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who are not fit for intensive chemotherapy, significantly improving survival and quality‐of‐life.
