Patch Testing in Paediatric Drug Hypersensitivity Reactions: Current Evidence and Clinical Implications

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Drug hypersensitivity reactions (DHRs) are common in children and are diagnostically challenging, with cutaneous manifestations being the most common presentation. Patch testing (PT) is a well‐established tool for investigating delayed T‐cell‐mediated reactions and is widely used in patients with contact dermatitis.

Selective photo labeling of tryptophan in N‐acetyl‐L‐tryptophan ethyl ester and peptide WWCNDGR with a diaryl nitrenium ion

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
Visible light photolysis of a N‐(N,N‐diarylaminopyridinium) salt allows for covalent modification of a peptide. Mass spectrometry demonstrates that this procedure selectively labels tryptophan residues. Laser flash photolysis experiments show that bond formation occurs via a diarylnitrenium ion intermediate.

Characterizing the Impact of Nucleoid‐Associated Proteins on HU‐DNA Interactions by Live‐Cell Single‐Molecule Tracking

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 9, 14 May 2026.
The nucleoid‐associated proteins Dps, H‐NS, and HU shape the bacterial chromosome in the deep stationary phase through their interactions with the nucleoid. The bacterial nucleoid undergoes extensive structural reorganization during growth, influenced by nucleoid‐associated proteins (NAPs) whose interactions and effects on nucleoid organization remain ...
